2020 Rec Soccer Season

2020 Rec Soccer Season

Welcome to Rhinelander Soccer! Every year our community comes together and celebrates the long-awaited arrival of spring on the green soccer fields that overlook the Rhinelander / Oneida County airport.

Players have already begun to register in anticipation of the season-opening tentatively scheduled to begin on Sunday April 26th, 2020 (pending field conditions). It will run every Sunday and Monday through June 29th, 2020.

We are scheduled to have age matrix ranging from 4K through 8th Grade. Times will start at 5:30 pm on Sunday and Monday evenings.

Teams will be formed and practice each evening, with games scheduled for Mondays.

About the Weekly Session

-- All children meet at the field assigned to their team.

-- Parents encourage children from behind the parent line, coaches and teams gather together on side of the field opposite the parent lines.

-- Each child will be assigned to a specific team and will receive a numbered team jersey. Registration includes a jersey to keep after the season ends.

-- Parents are expected to stay (not a drop off) to support their children and help them learn and participate.

Players MUST wear shin guards under soccer socks that come up higher enough to cover the shin guard and keep them in place for safety reasons.

Soccer cleats or sneakers, although soccer cleats are highly recommended. Soccer cleats differ from baseball and football cleats because they do not have a tip of the toe cleat.
